Welcome to the Office of Institutional Assessment and Compliance. We provide many different types of information about the University of South Carolina, including:
The University of South Carolina is in the process of implementing a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. As a result of this implementation, access to and the dissemination of Official Fall 2013 data for the University of South Carolina has been delayed until February 1, 2014. The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment (OIRA) and our campus partners working on the implementation are committed to the highest levels of data quality and integrity. In the interim, we apologize for any inconvenience that this delay may cause for your reporting or data needs. Data requests submitted to OIRA for Fall 2013 data will be processed after February 1, 2014, in the order that they were submitted.
OIRA understands that there may be cases of urgent time sensitive requests for preliminary Fall 2013 data that cannot wait until February 1, 2014. Such cases will be reviewed and handled on a case by case basis by OIRA in consultation with the University of South Carolina Provost Office. Urgent requests should be emailed directly to Donald Miles, Executive Director and SACS Accreditation Liaison, at email@example.com. Please note that you should only forward urgent requests to the executive director after you have checked and received documentation that your reporting needs cannot wait until after February 1, 2014.
Each year, IAC publishes an Online Fact Book which contains information for all eight USC campuses. The Fact Book is divided into three sections: the Columbia campus, the regional campuses, and the entire USC system.
The IAC Data Warehouse features tools that can retrieve data and create dynamically-generated reports on demand. The Table Generator produces customizable reports of Enrollment and Degrees Awarded data in HTML, PDF, and Microsoft Excel formats. The Fact Finder provides results from various surveys including U.S. News, Barron's, and Peterson's. Results from student and alumni surveys can be found in the Assessment Warehouse.
The newest addition to the IAC website is the Assessment Toolbox, which offers information and assistance to faculty on how to compose an Assessment Plan and Assessment Report for academic programs.
