Creative Writing, M.F.A.

In response to student requests for more career advising, faculty have designated one member of the Job Placement Committee to serve as the advisor for M.F.A. students. Faculty are also attempting to further professionalize the 600-level M.F.A. workshops by moving to restrict these courses to M.F.A. students and other qualified graduate students in English. This will enable professors to focus more on the issues relevant to serious or professional writers and therefore will increase students' chances for publication of their work.
