What to Expect
If you've been referred by a doctor or have a known medical condition, you should call 803-777-8283 to make an appointment for one-on-one nutrition services with a registered dietitian.
Before your appointment
Before your appointment, you will need to complete a food record form [docx] and bring it with you to your appointment. Initial nutrition appointments may involve gathering a health history, reviewing the food record form, discussing medical nutrition interventions or education, and behavior change guidance. Follow up appointments may also be offered to monitor progress.
Nutrition consultations are free of charge for students. Faculty and staff can schedule a consultation for a fee. Call 803-777-8283 for fee specifics.
The Healthy Eating Workshop is a monthly educational group where you can learn how to choose balanced meals and snacks on and off campus.
People with eating disorders can come in any shape or size. We have a team of health care providers here to help if you're struggling with your eating habits or your relationship with food. For more information or to make an appointment, call Counseling and Psychiatry at 803-777-5223.
