Hiring Mangers please request new faculty or staff workstations using our online New Faculty/Staff Workstation Purchase Request Form.
Existing faculty or staff will be contacted when their workstation is due for an upgrade. If you have been notified that you are due for an upgrade, please use our Upgrade Form to make your upgrade selection.
All workstations are added to the upgrade cycle whether they are purchased using Technology funds or Department funds. All PCs adhere to a 4 year decommission cycle. All Macs adhere to a 5 year decommission cycle. If you have any questions regarding your workstation and your workstation’s expected decommission date please contact the Director of IT and Operations.
The Director of Information Technology reviews baseline specifications on an annual basis to determine whether the existing standard is sufficient to run current software.
Standard Workstation Upgrades are funded out of the Information Technology budget. If a workstation requires upgraded specifications or additional equipment is required (i.e., desktop printer, scanner etc.), the requesting department must provide funding for these upgrades or additional accessories.
Additional devices, such as a second laptop, tablet, or phone must be funded by the requesting department. All technology acquisitions must go through the Director of IT and Operations.
